St. Croix to Florida
Where I come from
I was born in St. Croix in the U.S. Virgin Islands and raised in Florida. The island never left my voice, and it never left the way I build: with family close and faith first.

The regulator years
Next to the attorneys
I worked as a regulatory specialist at the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation, in the Real Estate division. I learned how the rules are written and what happens to people who build without knowing them.

From 2010
The business I built
I went back to school for marriage and family therapy, then earned a PhD in Christian counseling and education. I started a case management agency as a single-member LLC and grew it into a group practice and then a mental health hospital doing multiple seven figures. We used every funding lane there is: cash flow, grants, government contracts, bank lines, and sponsorships.

The loss
Six years, gone
I knew the company needed a stronger foundation. I was converting the LLC to a corporation and adding the nonprofit when an issue with a contracted employee hit, and the conversion hadn't processed in time. I lost the practice. Six years of building, millions of dollars, my standing in the community, and very nearly my marriage.

The turn
A bank said no
Years later, our family's construction company was doing over $200,000 and a big bank turned it down. The only offers left were merchant cash advances. Our business banker sat with me for six weeks and walked me through how big banks approve loans. By week two I could see it: it starts with the foundation, then how the business is documented, then the funding.

Now
Building it right, and teaching it
I became a Certified Business Developer, Funding Strategist, and Business Loan Broker, rebuilt my own foundation into more than twenty entities across ministry, mission, and marketplace, and started teaching women the order I had to learn the hard way. I coached for free first. Then it became the work.

Faith and family

My faith was low after the loss. It's also what brought me back. Everything I build now starts with God and is built to serve somebody else.
I am a survivor of childhood sexual abuse and domestic violence. I say it out loud so the woman reading this knows her story is not over. I am also a warrior living with, and an advocate for, Lupus, Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension, and Fibromyalgia.
My husband, Anthony, is an Air Force veteran and co-pastor of OAN Life Church. We're raising five children, building our companies together, and leading a church that meets online every Sunday.
